【摘要】:Thismethodisfordeterminingtotalsulfurinpetroleumproductsandotherorganic/inorganicmaterials,suchascatalysts,usingaLECOSulfurAnalyzer.Thedetectionrangeisfrom100%downtoalowerlimitof0.01mass-%sulfur.Nitrogenandhalogensdonotinterfereunlesstheyarepresentinconcentrationstentimeshigherthanthatofthesulfur.Themethodisgenerallylimitedtosampleshavinginitialboilingpointsabove200C.However,itcanbeappliedtosomewiderboilingragesamples,suchascrudeoils,whereexperiencehasshownthatnolossesoccurduringthecombustionprocess.

【摘要】:4.1Polymethylmethacrylatedosimetrysystemsarecommonlyusedinindustrialradiationprocessing,forexample,inthesterilizationofmedicaldevicesandtheprocessingoffoods.Intheseapplications,dosesfallmostlywithinthe0.1to100kGyworkingrangeofthefamilyofPMMAdosimeters.4.2ProperlyselectedPMMAdosimetermaterialsprovideameansofdirectlyestimatingabsorbeddosesinnearwater-equivalentsubstances,suchasplastics,cotton,paper,gut,andrubber.Thedosesarenormallyexpressedintermsofdoseinwater(see4.7).Undertheinfluenceofionizingradiation,chemicalreactionstakeplaceinthematerial,creatingand/orenhancingabsorptionbandsinthevisibleand/orultravioletregionsofthespectrum.Opticalabsorbancedeterminedatselectedwavelengthswithintheseradiation-inducedabsorptionbandsisquantitativelyrelatedtothecorrespondingabsorbedradiationdose.ExamplesofappropriatewavelengthsusedforanalysisofspecificdosimetersareprovidedinTableA1.1.4.3Intheapplicationofaspecificdosimetrysystem,absorbeddoseisobtainedbyusinganexperimentallydeterminedcalibrationcurveorresponsefunction.Thesearederivedbymeasuringsetsofdosimetersirradiatedtoknownabsorbeddosesthatadequatelyspantherangeofutilizationofthesystem(see7.7.2).4.4Polymethylmethacrylatedosimetrysystemsrequirecalibrationtraceabletonationalorinternationalstandards.SeeISO/ASTMGuide51261.4.5Duringcalibrationanduse,possibleeffectsofconditionssuchastemperature,lightexposure,energyspectrum,andabsorbeddoseratearetakenintoaccount.4.6UnprotectedPMMAdosimetermaterialissensitivetochangesinhumidity,andcutpiecesarethereforeindividuallysealedinwater-impermeablepouchesduringmanufacture.Theymustbekeptinthesesealedpouchesduringirradiation.4.7AbsorbeddoseinmaterialsotherthanwatermaybedeterminedbyapplyingconversionfactorsinaccordancewithISO/ASTMGuide51261.NOTE1-Foracomprehensivediscussionofvariousdosimetrymethodsapplicabletotheradiationtypesandenergiesdiscussedinthispractice,seeICRUReports14,17,34and35.1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresforusinghermetically-sealedpolymethylmethacrylate(PMMA)dosimetersformeasuringabsorbeddoseinmaterialsirradiatedbyphotonsorelectronsintermsofabsorbeddoseinwater.1.2Thispracticecoverssystemsthatpermitabsorbeddosemeasurementsunderthefollowingconditions:1.2.1Theabsorbeddoserangeis0.1to100kGy.1.2.2Theabsorbeddoserateis1X102to1107Gys1.1.2.3Theradiationenergyrangeforphotonsis0.1to50MeV,andforelectrons3to50MeV.1.2.4Theirradiationtemperatureis78to+50176;C.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
